In this feature film, “Pam” will play the role of Shelley, a 50-year-old dancer who discovers that her long-running show is coming to an end. The actress filmed under the watchful eye of director Gia Coppola (Palo Alto, Mainstream), granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola.

An Oscar nomination?

“Pamela poured her heart and soul into the character of Shelley and captivated us from the very beginning,” says Christian Jungen, Artistic Director of the Zurich Film Festival. “It is a remarkable performance, perhaps the best of her career, and one that deserves an Oscar nomination. We are therefore delighted to honour Pamela Anderson, the cult actress with whom many of us grew up and who has reinvented herself time and time again.”

The date is therefore set for Zurich, on October 4, but also for the Oscars ceremony, the 97th of which will be held on March 3, 2025.
