Thursday January 16, 2025 at 9 a.m., employees at the Thales site in Vendôme walked off the job, in response to the call from the CGT, CFDT and CFE-CGC union organizations, formed as an inter-union organization. This is the third walkout of 2025 for employees.
« We first gathered on January 9, then a second time two days ago, the whole group is concerned by this movement,” explains Olivier Damien, secretary of the CGT Thales Vendôme union. “ We hope that management will finally realize that we cannot continue like this. Management's proposals with a budget of around 2% of the payroll are very far from current requirements. »
In all, around a hundred employees gathered in front of the premises until 10 a.m. “ We will repeat the operation until we are listened to. Until this is the case, stocks will increase. The inter-union is demanding a budget of 4% of the payroll to compensate for the inflation of past years and reward the efforts of each and everyone. »
“Thanks don’t fill the fridge”
« These claims are not exaggerated, said Jessica Cornet, union representative at the CFDT. The group is doing very well. Despite this, we are always asked for more effort. So of course, we are congratulated for our work, but the “thanks” don’t fill the fridge. » The inter-union indicated that several days of action could be organized.
-Contacted, the Thales group did not respond to our calls.
