More than 25 companies, including industry leaders like Deloitte, KPMG, Leyton, Inwi, Azur, CIH Bank and AFD Tech, participated in the event as jurors.
The exhibition served as a showcase for more than 70 students showcasing their innovative research in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA), cybersecurity and bioenergy. Projects ranged from AI-powered health tracking apps to resume screening tools using natural language processing (NLP).
Some students have even developed physical prototypes such as robots and drones, illustrating the practical technological expertise encouraged at AUI. Participants also had the opportunity to interact directly with business representatives, receive their expert advice and expand their professional network.
Addressing the industry experts present, AUI President, Amine Bensaidhighlighted the university’s commitment to establish bridges between the academic world and the professional world through experiential learning. “We decided to strengthen our liberal arts model by adding an industry-focused dimension, supported by our Office of Employability and Entrepreneurship. What you see today is a concrete illustration of this”he said. “You tell us the skills you need, and we ensure our students are prepared, with solid foundations and expertise tailored to market demands”he added.
The dean of the School of Science and Engineering, Dr. Salah Al-Majeedfor his part described this event organized each semester as “learning festival”emphasizing its dual role of academic evaluation and professional development. “This event is an open space where students, professors and industry professionals exchange knowledge and create new opportunities”he stressed, noting that this edition attracted more companies, demonstrating the growing interest in the sector.
Amine El KhiatiData Scientist at AFD Tech and member of the jury, praised the students’ innovative approach: “We have seen diverse projects, ranging from AI-based solutions to robotics. Their supervisors clearly played a key role in helping them master complex technologies. »
At the same time, job interviews took place with participating companies such as Deloitte and AFD Tech, reinforcing the professional orientation of the event. The students were able to present their projects while sharing their professional ambitions with recruiters.
At the end of the day, the AUI Innovation Expo not only celebrated technological advances, but also consolidated its ecosystem of collaboration between the academic world and the industrial sector.
