Imagine a machine that can wash and dry you completely in minutes, while taking care of your mental and physical well-being. This futuristic concept, developed by a Japanese company, could well transform our daily lives from the Osaka Expo in 2025.
The experience of complete cleaning in 15 minutes
Japanese society Science Co.specializing in bathroom technologies, is preparing to present a revolutionary innovation: a washing machine intended for humans. Baptized Mirai Ningen Sentakuki (meaning “human washing machine of the future”), it will be unveiled at the Osaka Kansai World Expo in April 2025.
Resembling a futuristic jet cockpit, this machine combines body cleansing, quick drying and relaxation in less than 15 minutes. Throughout the duration of the exhibition, 1,000 visitors will have the chance to experience this unique conceptand reservations are already open via the company’s website.
A decades-old idea revisited
The concept of a “human washing machine” is not entirely new. In 1970, during the Osaka World Expo, the Sanyo company (now Panasonic) presented a similar prototype. Although avant-garde for its time, this project had never been commercialized.
Taking this idea, Science Co. integrates modern technologies to offer a personalized experience. According to the journal The Asahi Shimbunthe new model will be able to automatically detect the user’s stress and fatigue using biometric sensors. This data will be used to broadcast soothing images and sounds, transforming this machine into a real cocoon of relaxation.
An economical solution adapted to the needs of tomorrow
In addition to its innovative character, this machine is part of an ecological approach. Thanks to optimized water and energy management, it significantly reduces consumption compared to a traditional shower.
The device also targets specific audiences, such as the elderly or people with reduced mobility, who could benefit from an automated and effortless system. According to the newspaper The Mainichi Shimbunthis device could also have therapeutic applications, by promoting relaxation and mental well-being.
A revolution accessible to all?
Although promising, this innovation raises questions about its accessibility and price. For the moment, Science Co. has not yet communicated details on marketing or production costs. However, if this machine manages to convince the general public during the Osaka Expo, it could well establish itself as a must-have for personal hygiene in the decades to come.
A future where washing becomes a multisensory experience
With the Mirai Ningen SentakukiJapan once again demonstrates its ability to combine tradition and technology to meet the needs of tomorrow. What if, in the near future, washing became not only a routine but also a moment of ultimate relaxation? The Osaka World Expo will undoubtedly be an opportunity to discover this extraordinary innovation.
