IMPORTANT – Highway 20 will be closed in both directions in Lévis

Important message from the MTQ for truckers and other users of Highway 20 in Lévis

Closure of the highway during the night of November 6 to 7.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility informs the population that work carried out by Hydro-Québec will require the complete closure of Highway 20, in both directions, between exit no. 314 towards route 175 (chemin du Sault/ av. des Églises) and the Highway 73 overpasses, in Lévis, in the Charny/Saint-Romuald sector, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., on the night of November 6 to 7.

A second identical closure will be necessary during the night of November 27 to 28 to complete the work.

What the MTQ says – Traffic management

To limit the impact on traffic, road users are recommended to modify their route or the period of their travel, where possible, in order to avoid the area.

Restrictions on heavy vehicles will be lifted on alternative routes for the duration of the obstructions.

However, the trucking ban remains in effect, at all times, on the Quebec Bridge.

Oversized vehicles traveling with a class 1, 2, 3 or 4 annual license will not be able to use detour routes and are required to check traffic restrictions before their departure.

The date and duration of the work and obstructions may be modified due to operational constraints or weather conditions. In the event of a postponement, the obstructions will be deferred for 24 hours.

To find out about current obstacles, motorists are invited to consult Québec 511, a practical tool to properly plan their trips.

For the safety of users and workers, compliance with the signage in place is essential.
