DECRYPTION – If workers and employees have always been largely excluded from the system, the practice is also declining among intermediate professions.
Having suddenly appeared in the business world at the same time as Covid, teleworking is now experiencing a refocusing among French employees. While only 9% of them were able to use it for a few days and often only a few half-days per month in 2019, the share of employees who tried it between March 2020, the date of the start of the first confinement, and the beginning of 2021 , jumped to 42%.
But since then, the practice has tended to decline, underlines a new analysis from Dares published this Tuesday. The organization attached to the Ministry of Labor points out that, from the first months of 2021, the share of remote employees had fallen to 31%. The figure has since continued to fall, falling to 26% at the start of 2023, the latest data available.
