Thefts on different factory sites Peugeot-Stellantis. Five people suspected of having stolen dozens of vehicles in Mulhouse-Sausheim and Sochaux-Montbéliard were placed in pre-trial detention. 3008, 208 and 308 were stolen directly from Stellantis factories.

Their method was perfectly established for more than two years. These criminals managed to steal, according to the latest court accounts, 73 vehicles, 3008, 208 and 308, directly in Stellantis factories.

These cars had just come off the assembly lines, they were waiting in a storage parking lot. But the thieves apparently benefited from internal complicity. With an employee’s badge, they would take one or two cars out of a factory park and ride and simply leave.

Almost invisible traffic, there are so many vehicles in transit on the sites of Sochaux and Mulhouse. The vehicles were then resold abroad, mainly in Algeria, and remained untraceable since their serial number was simply unknown, the cars having never been marketed.

After two years of investigation, the police finally arrested ten suspects, eight men and two women. Five of them were placed in pre-trial detention. At their home, investigators found luxury cars and up to 50,000 euros in cash. They all risk ten years in prison for organized theft and criminal conspiracy.
