The work of the World Aviation Safety Conference (WSOC) began on Tuesday in Marrakech, with the participation of airline managers, regulators, accident investigators and aviation and air transport experts.
Organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), under the aegis of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), WSOC 2024 will be an opportunity to debate current issues linked in particular to artificial intelligence (AI). , geopolitical risks, management of turbulence and energy efficiency.
The meeting will address all aspects of safety, including flight operations, cabin operations, maintenance and crisis management (emergency response planning and aircraft recovery).
It also offers the opportunity to develop partnerships with aviation professionals and decision-makers.
WSOC 2024 will highlight the latest technological innovations, safety best practices and advances in flight operations management.
This conclave will serve as a critical platform for the region, allowing experts, decision-makers and thought leaders to come together to rethink and improve air transport safety and operations.
The program includes plenary sessions, specialist panels, technical workshops, networking opportunities and an exhibition highlighting innovative solutions in the sector.
Note that the first IATA WSOC took place in Vietnam in September 2023, with more than 600 representatives from 58 countries gathered for this inaugural edition.
