Four New Brunswick companies have managed to carve out a place in the 2025 list of 300 best employers in Canada drawn up by the prestigious American economic magazine Forbes.

To establish this ranking, Forbes has teamed up with the Statista market research company to question more than 40,000 Canadian employees working for companies and institutions employing at least 500 people.

The researchers asked the respondents anonymous if they recommend their employer to others and to assess it according to a series of criteria, in particular salary, flexibility of work, training programs and advancement possibilities .

The responses were recorded to establish a list of the best employers where we find Day & Ross Freight, NB energy, JD Irving and the University of New Brunswick.

Established in Hartland, the Transport and Logistics company Day & Ross Freight points to the 100th step of the list.

Founded in 1950 with just a truck loaded with potatoes as active, Day & Ross became in 1966 a full -fledged subsidiary of McCain Foods. The company today has more than 7,500 employees, drivers and drivers-owners.

Energy NB occupies the 2011 position of the ranking of the best employers, closely followed by JD Irving which is 211st rank.

Large accustomed to the list of Forbes which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary of publication, the University of New Brunswick is the last employer of the province to appear in the prestigious list with a 217th position.

The teaching establishment had managed in 2021 to occupy the enviable 29th position of the list.

The Top-5 of the 2025 Palmère 2025 is made up in the order of Google, Microsoft, Concordia, Hydro-Québec and Hershey Canada University.

As with all Forbes lists, companies pay no fees to participate or be selected.
