The Xbox Developer Direct broadcast yesterday allowed us to learn more about several games expected in the coming months. Among them, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 once again made a strong impression and revealed its release date as well as the arrival of a nice collector's edition. Unfortunately, Xbox players won't be able to enjoy it.
The collector's edition only on PS5
It hasn't been good to be an Xbox collector for some time now, and the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 collector proves it once again today. If the game will benefit from a standard physical edition on Xbox Series X and PS5, the beautiful collector's edition unveiled yesterday is reserved for PS5 players.
There is in fact no Xbox listing for this edition which includes the game, a statuette, a steelbook, an artbook as well as several digital contents.
Contents of the Collector's Edition of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- The basic game
- An 8 inch hand painted music box
- A Steelbook® case featuring Gustave, Maelle and the Painter
- A 48-page Expedition Journal in hardcover artbook form
- The “Flowers” Collection (six outfits and haircuts inspired by flowers from -* Lumière (DLC), as well as six outfit variations in a pack called Scrub (DLC))
- A custom outfit for Maelle named “Clair” (DLC)
- A personalized outfit for Gustave named “Obscur” (DLC)*
This is obviously an unfortunate situation for Xbox collectors who wanted to obtain this edition announced at $149.99.
-Fortunately, Xbox players will be able to console themselves with the arrival of the title directly in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on the day of its release on April 24, 2025. The title seems very promising and is also a valuable asset for Microsoft service.
If you missed the Xbox Developer Direct presentation, you can find it below. As always, don't hesitate to give us your opinion on the title and also tell us if you regret the absence of an Xbox collector's edition of the game.
