INTERVIEW – On the occasion of the release of his autobiography, the former winger of the XV of France and Stade Toulousain spoke to Figaro.
His career ended on a sad evening in April 2021. An empty stadium in the middle of Covid and the Achilles tendon ruptured, depriving Yoann Huget of a glorious end to the season (double Top 14 and Champions Cup at Stade Toulousain) . Precipitating, at age 34, the end of his career by a few months. Four years later, Yoann Huget is in good shape. Rugby consultant for Sud Radio, shareholder of a Pilates and yoga franchise, he is ready to take on new challenges. Before that, he closed the first chapter of his life by recounting himself intimately in Is it is YOU didn't say goodbye (Éditions Hugo Sport), in bookstores since January 22.
LE FIGARO. – Why did you decide to publish your autobiography ?
YOANN HUGET. – Four years after the end of my career, I am at peace. I wanted a moment of sharing. Transmit what I experienced, retrace my career and, also, for the first time, talk about my private life.
