The children are sowing the future by planting 485 trees with a farmer in the Hautes-Pyrénées. “What if planting a tree became a foundational step in the education of our children? What if lending a hand to farmers meant committing to the climate and biodiversity? What if combining education, agriculture and living together made it possible to outline today the society we want for tomorrow? This is the joyful, concrete and unifying mission that the Des Enfants et des Arbres association has given itself since 2020 by inviting the young generation to plant trees with and among local farmers. This educational and civic mission, approved by National Education, allows students to discover the agricultural world, its challenges and levers through active teaching in the classroom and in the fields. By inviting children to connect with those who nourish us as well as the Living, it is about placing them at the heart of the solutions to transmit to them a taste for commitment. »
