The one that will attract the most retinas will undoubtedly be the ZR-1 version of the Corvette. This one will be all the more easily spotted because of its split rear window which will remind nostalgic people – and future collectors? – the Stingray Split-Window appeared in 1963. Beyond style, there is performance. The ZR-1 is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine armed with two turbochargers and equipped with a flat-plane crankshaft that delivers no less than 1,064 horsepower. This makes it the fastest Corvette in history. It actually takes a little more than two seconds to reach the permitted speed on our expressways following a standing start.
During its visit to the city, Chevrolet will reveal the new generations of the Tahoe and Equinox (not to be confused with the Equinox EV). GMC, the other subsidiary of General Motors, will present the luxurious derivatives of these same two models, the Yukon and Terrain. Two SUVs that accommodate small and large families.
-Following on from the presentation of the fully electric Silverado, it’s GMC’s turn to present its interpretation with the Sierra EV. This large-format van offers a range of more than 600 kilometers and a towing capacity greater than that of an equivalent gasoline model. It has a host of driving aids, including semi-autonomous driving and four-wheel steering which provide greater stability at cruising speed and greater maneuverability in confined spaces.
