the results of all models in Europe and around the world

The official Dacia sales figures for 2024 have just been released. And they’re pretty good, compared to a year where a good number of manufacturers took the plunge. In total, the Franco-European manufacturer has thus sold 676,340 copies of all models worldwiderepresenting growth of 2.7% compared to 2023. Cumulatively since 2004, Dacia has sold more than 9 million vehicles worldwide. In terms of figures, Dacia’s market share in our country last year stood at 14.6% and 119,230 units of passenger vehicles registered, including 75,978 registrations for the Sandero alone, an increase of 10%. compared to the previous year in .

Sandero and Duster, always the right pick

In Europe, taking into account 22 different countries including the United Kingdom, Dacia reached new record market shares last year at 4.5%, a small increase of 0.1 point compared to 2023. As d As usual, Dacia’s figures were driven by the Sandero (309,392 units sold in 2024), the best-selling vehicle in Europe across all channels, up 14.5% compared to last year. But also by the Duster (generations 2 and 3), which boasts 215,024 units sold last year, representing growth of +7.3% compared to a year earlier. The Duster, which has been the best-selling SUV to individuals in Europe since 2018 and which has exceeded 2.5 million units on the roads since its launch in 2010. Also note, still concerning the Duster, that the new generation launched last May achieved 29% of its sales with hybrid engines.

The Spring falls heavily

The electric Spring, on the other hand, experienced a remarkable drop in sales in 2023, with 22,884 units sold, a drop of -63% vs. 2023.in particular because of reduced public aid in France. On its marketing scope, Dacia has in any case outperformed the market, up 1.6% in 2024 compared to 2023, thus gaining a place in the ranking of manufacturers in Europe compared to 2023, ending 2024 in 9th position. Finally, the Jogger recorded 96,440 sales overall in 2024 (i.e. +2.4% vs. 2023).

Double-digit growth

Furthermore, in 2024 Dacia reached a market share of 8.2% in Europe (down slightly: 8.3% in 2023) in the private passenger car market, probably consolidating its place on the European podium for the fourth consecutive year. And certain countries in the Old Continent, but also in Morocco, recorded very strong increases in their volumes, with more than 10% increase: +13.2% in Austria+15.4% in Belgium-Luxembourg, +12.4% in Spain, +13.1% in Italy, +16.3% in Morocco+11.9% in Poland, +10.7% in Portugal, and +20.2% in the Czech Republic. In other European countries, Dacia recorded a historic record in market share in the passenger car channel. For example in Germany, with 2.5% PDM in 2024 (up +0.1 pt vs. 2023).

Bigger margins

Another important marker for Dacia is the level of attractiveness of its range, which is manifested by the conquest and loyalty of its customers. Thus, on the Europe 5 scope (France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain), 6 out of 10 Dacia customers did not own Renault Group vehicles (62.3%) before purchasing a Dacia model. As for the margins operated by the brand, logically far removed from those achieved by a premium manufacturer, they are also pulled upwards, since 78% of the manufacturer’s customers for the models launched in 2024, favored the highest level of equipment. high (respectively 80% for Duster and 67% for Spring). Finally, remember that the new Dacia Bigster, marketed in France since this month from €24,990, should largely contribute to Dacia’s 2025 results this year.
