A tragedy unfolded on board Air France flight AF334 linking Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Boston, Tuesday January 14, 2025. As confirmed by the airline daily The Parisiana passenger died of a heart attack mid-flight. Despite the rapid intervention of a doctor present among the passengers, assisted by the crew, “the customer could not be revived,” said Air France.
The incident took place hours before landing at Boston's Logan International Airport. Emergency services were immediately mobilized when the aircraft arrived on American territory.
An investigation has been opened in the United States
According to the Massachusetts State Police, an investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of the death, described as “occurring without supervision”. The identity of the victim has not been released and next of kin must first be notified.
In a press release, the airline recalled that its crews are “regularly trained and trained to manage this type of situation”. Air France also expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased.
