The Ministry of the Economy confirmed, Wednesday January 15, that the Livret A rate will be lowered to 2.4% on January 1is February, against 3% currently, on the proposal, earlier in the day, of the governor of the Bank of France.
The Minister of the Economy, Eric Lombard, “will strictly apply the regulatory calculation formula to achieve a reduction to 2.4%”the ministry said in a press release. The rate of the Popular Savings Booklet (LEP) will increase from 4% to 3.5%.
On January 6, Eric Lombard had already announced that the Livret A rate would drop “around 2.5%”.
