The vehicle most sold to individuals in France in all segments for 9 years, the Dacia Sandero has sold nearly 76,000 units in France in 2024 with an increase of 10%. 2025 will be the year of restyling, so we don’t upset a winning team, we proceed methodically but nevertheless with visibility.
The news this year at Dacia is obviously the commercial launch in the spring of the Bigster, the flagship of the range presented last fall. The imposing 4.57 m long SUV took its first crowd bath at the Paris Motor Show in mid-October and is currently on display at the Brussels Motor Show.
Is the mission that the Dacia Bigster must accomplish in 2025 impossible?
For its part, the third version of the Dacia Duster will benefit from its first full year of marketing. But in the middle of all this we should not forget the pillar of the range, the best-selling passenger car in Europe since 2017, a title envied by the competition acquired by the previous generation. Because the current Dacia Sandero was born in 2020 (see our photo gallery) and then went through the restyling box for the first time, characterized above all by the adoption of the new “DC” logo in the summer of 2022 as part of the harmonization of the range .
In 2025, this time the Dacia Sandero Mk3 will be truly restyled by adopting a new snout in the spirit of that of the Dacia Jogger which will also go on the operating table this year. On the program, a new graphic for the grille which will become strictly horizontal between the lights and no longer in a “V” shape.
-However, the essential functional air inlet located above the number plate will be retained.there are mechanical components to cool just behind, so there will remain a thin slot at this location which will visually lighten the shield. On either side of the central air intake, the protective elements whose contours can evoke a shark fin will go by the wayside as will the fog lights.
A Spring-style stern for the restyled Sandero
Thus redesigned, the Dacia Sandero will be visually closer to the Duster and the Spring. An even more marked resemblance at the level of the stern which will adopt on its tailgate flap, like that of the electric city car from China, a black strip between the lights. It will simply be a part added at a lower cost, there will still be no lights on the shutter if it would have been useless and above all too expensive.
In addition, in addition to the restyling of the Sandero, the brand will make its decision at the end of the year about its replacement expected by 2028, will it be thermal, electric or offer both? A few more months of patience.
Future Dacia Sandero: the future is uncertain!
