Despite the announcement made in our columns on 1is January by the ex-president of the Esnandis association, dissolved on December 20, 2024, his new association, the Blue House, will not be able in the near future to receive the brand of the Marais Poitevin Natural Park “Park Values”. Nor, moreover, than the intercommunal association of Vieux Tape-Cul, of which he is a member of the board of directors, and which he mentioned for obtaining this same brand.
To date, no framework exists at the level of the Federation of Regional Natural Parks (PNR) of France at the level of cultural actions. “Only benchmarks exist at the federation for food, crafts, accommodation, and piers. Then we have to implement them at the local level,” explains Pascal Duforestel, president of the Marais Poitevin PNR.
“Not for tomorrow”
Until December 31, 2024, the Esnandis association managed the Maison de la Baie du Marais Poitevin, which had obtained the “Valeurs Parc” brand. The place has now come under the management of the La Rochelle agglomeration from this 1is January through the mixed economy company La Rochelle Événements.
Even if Pascal Duforestel does not close the door to a collaboration with Frédéric Braud, the latter seems to have put the cart before the horse, “we have no commitment and do not know his precise project. But for the moment, the cultural reference does not exist within the PNR Federation. It’s not at all easy to mark a cultural event. Branding is about activities. Despite everything, the idea could be interesting. We could imagine a reflection in a more or less distant future. But not for tomorrow. »
