After several months of renovations and developments, Aude and Jean-Luc Schynoll have just increased the village’s tourist rental offering. Their La Lindenhutte gîte is now operational and can accommodate up to 10 people. According to Jean-Luc, an offer of this capacity was lacking in the surrounding area.
The lodge occupies more than 200 m2 on two levels. A sleeping area upstairs, with its five bedrooms, bathrooms, showers and the living space on the ground floor for catering; without forgetting a real games room.
Although the house is terraced, “we occupy part of the building, our tenants are completely independent,” specifies Aude.
A relaxation meadow completes the offer and allows you to admire the Rhine plain and the Black Forest; a unique view.
-A family farm
It is an old Vosges farm, it is even the oldest house in Hohwald, located in a place called Abjock, it dominates the entire village. “By carrying out this project, we also gave a second life to the farm of my ancestors, built in the early 1800s,” Jean-Luc further explains.
The couple wanted to preserve as much of the old charm as possible, while adding a few innovations for comfort or just for the pleasure of the eyes. Aude has worked in tourism for many years, customer contact, “she manages”!
