The year is off to a good start for Airbuswith work in perspective! The aircraft manufacturer, which has its headquarters in Toulouse, has just pocketed a new order. The Taiwanese company Starlux Airlines buy five new A350F cargo planes for its freight lines.
Double order for this Taiwan company
“The freight market is set to become a key part of our economic model and will benefit from the advantages offered by Taiwan’s geographical location,” said Glenn Chaithe boss of Starlux. The company is therefore doubling its initial A350F order, dating from last year, from the manufacturer which employs nearly 30,000 people in Toulouse alone.
“The A350F is the perfect choice, offering similar payload and range capacity to previous generation freighters, but with very significant reductions in fuel consumption and carbon emissions,” added the CEO of Starlux.
A latest generation model
Good news for Airbus and its latest model of cargo plane manufactured in Toulouse. Equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent
It also responds to environmental standards for CO2 emissions applicable from 2027. A performance which has already earned the aircraft manufacturer 1,345 orders from companies around the world.
The aircraft of the future for the freight market
And “this second order from Starlux Airlines, a growing company, is further proof that the all-new A350F is the future airliner which will change the situation on heavy transport markets», rejoiced Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, executive vice-president of commercial aircraft sales at Airbus.
Especially since Starlux was already a fan of Airbus. The company owns 26 aircraft from the European giant, including the popular single-aisle A321neo, but also the A330neo, as well as the A350-900.
