The American group Bamboo Rose announces the acquisition of the French company Verteego. This solution, launched in 2018, is an AI agent for retail players. The platform helps optimize decision-making regarding stocks, promotions, prices and assortments. This acquisition allows Bamboo Rose, an American management platform for retailers, to integrate artificial intelligence into its solutions.
« From the beginning, we shared a common vision with Bamboo Rose: to bring the power of Verteego-generated recommendations to their entire platform. This merger will allow our AI to play a central role, intelligently orchestrating decisions throughout the retailer's value chain », says Frenchman Rupert Schiessl, founder and CEO of Verteego.
Artificial intelligence at the heart of the NRF 2025
Verteego had been identified as a key solution for the “decision intelligence making» by a study by the American consulting firm Gartner, published last July. A spotlight which will certainly have encouraged the decision to buy Bamboo Rose as highlighted in the official announcement press release: “ Verteego, identified as a key player in this report, will bring cutting-edge expertise in artificial intelligence to Bamboo Rose. » The startup had raised 2.5 million euros in 2023 from Super Capital, Archipel Ventures, Holnest, Finoli and Bpifrance.
The group will of course be present at NRF 2025, an unmissable event for retail players which takes place from January 12 in New York. They are not the only ones to present new solutions based on AI this year. The French Altavia will demonstrate its startup called Kazaar dedicated to the automation of display campaigns. Artificial intelligence and its applications will once again be at the heart of discussions at this show.
