“Bip bip !“, exclaimed Vincent Lagaf’ before launching the modernized credits (but with the music of the time) of the bigdil this Thursday, January 2, 2025, for the first time in 21 years. After seven years of success on TF1 since its launch in 1998, the game which combines good humor and big gifts is finally reborn today and every Thursday in the first part of the evening on RMC Story – channel 23 of TNT -, to the delight of nostalgic people… And their children!
Vincent Lagaf overwhelmed by emotion for the return of bigdil
A pre-credits scene was broadcast, during which Vincent Lagaf’ discovers that his set and the audience were plunged into darkness but remained intact for two decades. This sequence also marked the moving reunion between the host, his ex-Gafette Nadia and Bill, the famous alien animated in 3D and still played from behind the scenes by the actor Gilles Vautier. “Oh ! There’s Nadia! You are so beautiful, you haven’t changed“, exclaimed the blue character, facing a very moved Nadia. The first number of bigdil 2025 edition then started. As tradition dictates, a troupe of dancers introduced the host, who entered accompanied by Nadia as well as a newcomer, Fanny. Welcomed by a standing ovation, and while the spectators applauded him loudly while chanting his first name, Vincent Lagaf’ quickly had tears in his eyes. A moving moment during which his two accomplices Nadia and Fanny came to take him in their arms. “BEEP BEEP!! Good evening everyone, welcome to the Bigdil set! (…) It is with great, great pleasure and… A lot of emotion that I find you again after 20 years. But what joy, really… Wow“, he exclaimed, upset, after drying his tears and as the cheers started again. Then, he turned to Bill who did not lose his biting humor or his sympathy: “20 years ago, I was called stingy, stingy… I decided… to continue with this voice!“, he warned before laughing with his characteristic melodious laugh.
The host of RMC Story reveals behind the scenes of this return event
Earlier this week, Vincent Lagaf’ confided to Télé 7 Jours that before being contacted by RMC Story, he had refused three proposals to resurrect The Bigdil. “I accepted because I was given the means and the possibility to record it as I wanted. (…) Laurent Pelois managed to redo the set of the show identically, it moved me. But the craziest thing was the reception from the public when I came to greet the spectators before the recording. I felt like I was at the Cannes Film Festival. I had five minutes of standing ovation before I even had time to say hello. I told myself that I was still in the hearts of the French“, declared the host who felt “an emotion rarely touched” by discovering for the first time on the identically reconstituted set a few weeks ago. Will the audiences be there despite Cyril Hanouna’s skepticism?
