Traffic resumed on the RER E this Friday at the start of the afternoon, after several hours of interruption due to “a personal accident” which occurred in the morning at Bondy station. RER E traffic was interrupted in both directions between Noisy-le-Sec and Le Chesnay Gagny stations since 11 a.m.
It resumed around 2:45 p.m., but it remains disrupted between Nanterre-La-Folie and Le Chenay-Gagny, RER E account X reported.
If no details were given on the “personal accident” that occurred, passengers spoke on social networks of a possible suicide. “Someone jumped in front of the train I boarded at the Gare de l’Est 20 minutes ago at Bondy station,” wrote a user.
On its Twitter account, the RER E specified this Friday morning that the “firefighters and police are on site” and that an intervention is “in progress”.
Thursday morning, traffic on several RER lines, notably the RER E, and TER had already been interrupted several hours after a “personal accident” which occurred shortly after 7 a.m., at Pantin station. A user had triggered the alarm signal to alert the competent authorities. TGV traffic from and to the East and North of France was also impacted.
