Health Canada announced on Monday the seizure of 38 unauthorized products sold for sexual enhancement even though they may present serious health risks.
These over-the-counter products were seized from stores in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Manitoba, the federal agency said.
In Quebec, seizures of a dozen products in the form of creams and tablets were made at a point of sale in the Capitale-Nationale on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa.

Among the products affected by this recall, Rhino 25 Fast Platinum 25,000, Titanium 12K, Kangorro, Hi-rize, Blue Rhino 1000K, ResErection and VIP Go Rhino Gold 69K were seized in Quebec.
These products are labeled as containing dangerous ingredients or have been tested and ultimately found to contain them, the federal agency warned.

The analysis carried out by the authorities revealed the presence of sildenafil and tadalafil, prescription drugs intended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
“Stop using these products and consult a health professional if you are concerned about your health,” recommended Health Canada, which invites people to report unauthorized products.
