Fiber is deployed throughout the sector

The end of the deployment of fiber in the Bazois Morvan territory was recently made official at the Cercy-la-Tour cultural center, during the assessment organized by Nièvre Numérique and the Bazois-Loire-Morvan Community of Communes (CCBLM), with the participation of XP Fiber and BFC Fiber.

Fabien Bazin, president of the Nièvre Departmental Council, Serge Caillot, president of the CCBLM, Antoine-Audoin Maggiar, elected digital delegate for the CCBLM, and Jean-Dimas Malot, director of Nièvre Numérique, presented the state of the work of fiber deployment for individuals and businesses to the twenty municipal elected officials present. On this occasion, they received a “Copper Commune” plaque.

Fabien Bazin was pleased to announce that, since 2004, 250 million euros have been invested so that 1,3531 premises, or 99% of the territory, have access to fiber, placing the department number 1 nationally for this equipment.

Marlène Margelidon, Quality, health, safety and environment representative at TC Transports de Cercy, explained how optical fiber has made it possible to facilitate and increase her company's activities. For this company, a pioneer in the world of transport, offering recognized expertise in various sectors (building, waste management, e-commerce, automobile industry and heavy industry) and employing around a hundred employees locally, this access to very broadband proves essential every day to continue to make innovation a lever of performance.

In the afternoon, Nièvre Numérique organized a Fiber Forum for local residents. Support aimed at answering all their questions about their eligibility for fiber, their connection, etc.
