Commuter train users will have to be patient this morning: service on the exo Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Mascouche lines, as well as that of VIA Rail, are disrupted due to the fire of a maintenance vehicle of the owner of the tracks in the Central Station area.

The station’s signaling system was damaged. Thus, all trips on the Mont-Saint-Hilaire line to Central Station are disrupted.

Joined by The Pressexo spokesperson Andréanne Gagnon indicates that lines 13 – Mont-Saint-Hilaire and 15 – Mascouche are affected by this incident. However, services are not interrupted. However, significant delays are expected for all trains for the entire day. “It is difficult to estimate the exact duration of each delay,” according to Mme Gagnon.

To avoid additional delays at Central Station, exo has decided to start and end all trains on line 15 – Mascouche in the Ahuntsic district. Thus, users were invited to take the metro at Sauvé station. Transport tickets were accepted there.

A passenger on board a VIA Rail train from Quebec, Vincent Roy, mentioned that the train was delayed by more than an hour and a half before entering Central Station. According to Mr. Roy, no emergency service was offered to passengers.
