Three restaurants in Montreal have ranked among the 100 best in the world, according to the annual report of the TasteAtlas.
The tourist guide has identified nearly 24,000 places to eat and based on their longevity, reliability and iconic dishes to create a list of winners.
The best ranked among Montreal restaurants is At the pig’s feet in the Plateau-Mont-Royal district which occupies 18th place in the ranking. The site indicates that the restaurant is particularly known for its onion soup.
The Schwartz’s is in 41st position. Founded in 1928, the establishment is obviously known for its “Smoked meet”.
The snack The ice floe is the last restaurant in Montreal to make the list. The place, which occupies 74th place, is one of the favorite destinations for poutine lovers.
It is in Vienna in Austria where we find the best restaurant in the world, the Figlmüller.
Montreal is the only Canadian city to have restaurants among the rankings.
Note that the city of Montreal is 65th among the best gastronomic cities in the world, according to another TasteAtlas ranking.
