The starters for Quinté+ this Friday, December 13
TOURCOING PRICEFRIDAY DECEMBER 13
PARIS-Vincennes – 2850 METERS – DEPARTURE: 8:15 p.m.
The forces present
Author of a sensational October (two successes and a third place), HULYSSE DIGEO (12) has now regained the fullness of his means. Formidable when he presents himself unshod, he discovers here a task well within his reach. Without incident, he should be able to dominate GLOIRE DU PERCHE (13), who has just resurfaced on the 2100 meters of the big track, GAZOLINE DU SEUX (10), unlucky during his final performance, and HISTORY MAJYC (6), carefully prepared for this golden engagement. FORREST GUMP SET (8) is not for everyday use, but it is ideally located on the edge of retreat and will be piloted by Jean-Michel Bazire. FRENCHY BERRY (5), capable of finishing quickly after a tailor-made course, GALA DE CRENNES (14), whose last attempt is encouraging, and HERMES DE CLOPEAU (2), who had not said his last word on November 30 at the time of his fault at the intersection of the tracks, are all possibilities for places.

The starters in detail and the opinions of the pros
1 – GISARO
Arriving at Jean-Michel Baudouin in September, this son of Singalo quickly compromised his chances in the last place before following very easily. His form is sure, but he is tackling a strong game and will discover Vincennes this Friday evening. Second choice.
Louis Baudouin, son of coach 7:
“Gisaro (1) is sometimes at fault, but he has enough resources to consider a good ranking in this type of tournament. He is the least wealthy at the start but he is not the least talented. Wise, it has the means to integrate into the right combination of Quinté+. »
2 – HERMES DE CLOPEAU
This student of Jérôme Hérard spared no effort in 2024 and will compete here in his 26th race of the year. For his only attempt on this course, on November 30, he was thwarted at the intersection of the tracks while he was following freely. At the end of a tailor-made course, it can spice up the reports.
Jérôme Hérard, coach 8:
“The two recent disqualifications do not reflect the value and form of Hermès de Clopeau (2). At Vincennes, he did not have all his comfort in the last turn and could not avoid the mistake, although he still had resources. In Laval, his driver regrouped his reins when unblocking his ears and he responded with a mischievous act, while he was preparing to play a good role. He is in good physical condition and I hope he will be more diligent this time. I expect to see him finish in the top five. »
3 – GARRY THORIS
After seven months of absence, this horse, who had gone through claiming races, made an encouraging comeback at Cherbourg on November 24 (6th), before suffering a bitter failure at Croisé-Laroche. He is up against a strong field and will undoubtedly have difficulty reversing the trend, even if he will appear barefoot this time.
Matthieu Varin, coach:
“I expect good behavior from Garry Thoris (3). His restart races are encouraging and he worked really well. He will present himself in full possession of his means for this commitment. You have to run it economically and it is therefore dependent on the route. With a favorable course, he should finish well and take a good place. »
4 – HOLLY SHINE
This protégé of Jean-François Senet has not tasted the joys of success for more than a year and has shown her limits for a while. Its shape is secure but it remains sharper on flat slopes. Other protagonists are preferable to him.
Jean-François Senet, trainer and driver:
“Holly Shine (4) has just shown her form in Nancy by placing second. She discovers a quality entry but will not have it easy, especially on the big Vincennes track. We are going to be discreet in order to secure a small allocation. »
5 – FRENCHY BERRY
This good finisher always gives his all and returns to a course on which he finished second in a Quinté+ in September 2023. His room for maneuver is limited but we can bet that Benjamin Rochard will be able to give him a smooth course. Attention.
Benjamin Rochard, driver:
“Frenchy Berry (5) pleased me in Nantes on November 6, when he faced the 6-year-olds and should go the distance. His seventh place is therefore encouraging. This time, he will start in the lead, on a course that suits him. I consider it competitive for runners-up. »
6 – HISTORY MAJYC
Absent between June 15 and November 24, this resident of Florian Tabesse now has four courses in her legs and is gaining momentum. Presented barefoot this time, on the occasion of this ideal engagement, she appears as a powerful figure.
Florian Tabesse, trainer and driver:
“I expected better behavior from History Majyc (6) during his penultimate attempt, in Nantes. She then gave me confidence in Cherbourg, on November 24, by placing fourth. Steeled and without artifice, she was convincing. I have since stepped up her morning exercises and she has responded well. She will have her shoes removed, which hasn't been the case for a while, and fitted with an earplug. I hope to see her in the top four. »
7 – HONOR OF CEBE
This former resident of Franck Leblanc has just resurfaced on a mounted trot, on the Chartres racecourse. He has regained a good part of his sensations but now seems sharper under the saddle. He would fulfill his contract by taking fifth place.
Alexandre Wissocq, coach:
“After just one warm-up race, Honor du Cébé (7) pleasantly surprised us by winning in Chartres on November 26. He shows a lot of desire and I hope he can maintain this good mentality. It must be preserved to give its full potential, but I hope to see it confirm its good dispositions. A small place would satisfy me. »
8 – FORREST GUMP SET
This 9-year-old gelding blows hot and cold but remains capable of brilliant performances, as evidenced by his runner-up finish in the Quinté+ on October 23 in Agen. Ideally engaged, presented barefoot and associated with Jean-Michel Bazire, he constitutes a good poker move.
Cédric Terry, nephew of the coach:
“Forrest Gump Set (8) discovers a commitment to quality. He is entering this race in great shape and will enjoy the long distance. He has a lot of toughness and I see him as having a great chance. If he doesn't make a mistake, he has his place at the finish. »
9 – GABELOU CARISAIE
After his fantastic year 2023, during which he raked in nearly €100,000, this representative of Jacques Etienne Thuet showed that he no longer had any margin. It is not better committed but the euphoric form of its driver still encourages a certain distrust.
Jacques Etienne Thuet, trainer:
“Gabelou Carisaie (9) is in great shape, but he has no room for maneuver. He is not in the best position in the second level and he will have to benefit from a favorable development to appear at the finish. I hope to see it complete the winning combination of Quinté+. »
10 – SEUX GAZOLINE
Endowed with a nice burst of final speed, this daughter of Opium has just shown a clear recovery in form over the 2100 meters of the big track (3rd). If the event is sufficiently rhythmic, it has the means to get involved in the fight for runners-up.
Mathieu Mottier, driver :
“Gasoline du Seux (10) performed very well on November 28, right here, placing third. She couldn't express herself and I didn't have the time to activate the fireworks. This Friday, she will have to benefit from a favorable course, given her situation in the second level. If this is the case, she has ample means to take an active part in the arrival. »
11 – FALCO DES ROCHERS
This spearhead of Axel Lenoir has not finished in the top five of a competition for over a year. He has been absent for two months and has a modest record at Vincennes (one success and eight failures in nine outings). For now, he must above all reassure his supporters.
Axel Lenoir, trainer and driver:
“Everything has gone wrong for Falco des Rochers (11) recently. We had to declare him a non-runner once, then he coughed and was out. He worked accordingly, but a two-month absence cannot be forgiven, especially in the middle of the winter meeting. We are going to endure the race and fifth place would satisfy me. »
12 – HULYSSE DIGEO
This gifted trotter has now regained the fullness of his abilities. It has regained freshness since its success in the Quinté+ on October 31 and here discovers a task within its reach. Without incident, it will not be far from the truth.
Jean-William Hallais, coach and driver:
“After a magnificent month of October, I gave Hulysse Digeo (12) a break. He will therefore return to competition this Friday. He worked well, but it's never easy to approach such a race with freshness. I will really understand his current level on the track. That said, it seems very good to me in the morning and the engagement remains favorable, despite a handicap of 25 meters. »
13 – GLORY OF THE POLE
Overall disappointing this year, this daughter of Utoky has just resurfaced in the Prix du Sap (1st), on the 2100 meters of the big track. She gets along perfectly with David Thomain and discovers, in the process, a favorable commitment. First chance.
Vincent Seguin, coach:
“Glory du Perche (13) proved that it was still operational recently, over the 2100 meters of the main track, by winning in style. At home, she is in full skin! She is cheerful and a pleasure to see. She has less success on the long courses of the big track, but she must confirm her current good form. The journey will make the difference. I'm counting on her! »
14 – CRENNES GALA
This serious trotter held his part well on November 28 (4th), on the 2100 meters of the big track, and here discovers a golden entry at only €90 from the ceiling. He is barred from victory but has the means to grab a place.
Erno Szirmay, trainer and driver:
“Gala de Crennes (14) is in good physical condition, but the big track at Vincennes is not really her cup of tea. He avoids the rising part at the start over the 2,100 meters and was therefore able to provide a good value at the end. On Friday, he will have to negotiate the start uphill, then the hill… We are presenting him because he does not have many commitments available, but our ambitions are limited to fifth place. »
