We should no longer call the event “Black Friday”, but Black Friday Week. As for Cyber Monday, it arrives too late and falls into disuse due to stocks being depleted by the previous event.
Like Amazon’s Prime Day, Black Friday deals are arriving earlier and earlier, and tons of early deals are worth a few visits online.
As highlighted by the New York Times in its long list of November 24 deals on Wirecutter, “if the official date of this mega-event remains the day after Thanksgiving (November 29 this year), another thing is clear: the sales last longer and longer. The first Black Friday discounts start weeks before the event, as early as October.”
Because of this stretch, “It’s never been harder to know what you can cross off your list and what you should wait to buy.” “That’s why Wirecutter reviews prices to separate fake sales from real sales.”
Please note, the deals indicated by NYT’s Wirecutter only concern the American market. Buying on Amazon US, for example, risks making you pay very high customs clearance and delivery fees.
Above all, it is not because prices are reduced that you necessarily have to empty your wallet. If your shopping list is empty, congratulations, that’s so much money saved. If you’ve been waiting until this week to take advantage of the discounts, go for it!
