Meyer Burger has reached an important milestone in the relocation of its production from Germany to the United States. The Thun-based company managed to start production at its Goodyear site in Arizona in the second quarter as planned. The plant has passed the necessary inspections, the company announced last week.

The group made the announcement on the day that shareholders, meeting in a general meeting, approved a share consolidation. The cosmetic operation, which consists of combining 750 old shares into a new value, is intended to make the shares more attractive to investors. As a reminder, the price of Meyer Burger shares collapsed in the space of a year, falling from around 0.22 francs to less than one cent.
