REYL Intesa Sanpaolo advises Quercus Real Assets Limited on a development partnership with Gunvor Group for a portfolio of solar photovoltaic projects in Italy.

Corporate Finance, the investment banking business line of REYL Intesa Sanpaolo, is acting as financial advisor to Quercus Real Assets Limited (“Quercus”) in a partnership with Gunvor Group (“Gunvor”) for the development and financing of approximately 3 GW of solar photovoltaic projects in Italy.

Quercus Real Assets Limited is a UK-based renewable energy specialist focused on investments in the energy transition. Since its inception in 2010, Quercus has completed over 40 transactions across solar, wind and biomass.

Quercus has signed a partnership with Gunvor, one of the largest independent international commodity trading companies, for the development, construction and financing of solar photovoltaic projects with a capacity of approximately 3 GW located in Italy.

This partnership demonstrates Quercus’ experience in large renewable energy projects in Europe. REYL Intesa Sanpaolo acted as financial advisor on this transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions.
