Egon Zehnder today announces the opening of a branch in Basel. This decision is a logical consequence of the strong growth of the executive search and leadership consulting firm’s business in Switzerland. The Basel office will complement the existing Swiss offices in Zurich and Geneva. “Given our success in Switzerland, the opening of the Basel office is an important strategic step,” says Dominik Schaller, Managing Partner of Egon Zehnder in Switzerland. “We already advise leading companies in the Basel region, and with this new office, we are now even closer to these clients geographically.”
The new Basel office is located at Rittergasse 35 and will be managed by Frank Heckner, a consultant of Egon Zehnder for many years.
In recent years, Egon Zehnder Switzerland has attracted many young consultants and significantly expanded its client portfolio. The Basel team intends to continue this growth. “As the epicenter of the trinational Eurodistrict, Basel is, after Zurich, one of the fastest growing regions in Switzerland for Egon Zehnder,” says Heckner.
In addition to the many international companies in the pharmaceutical, medtech, biotechnology and life sciences sectors that are located in the region, other local and global institutions from the industrial, chemical and service sectors are present in Basel. “We have been advising companies based in Basel for over 40 years. With our new office, we want to strengthen and develop these close and trusting relationships.”
A dedicated team of experienced consultants rooted in Basel will develop the office’s activities over the coming years to make it “a platform and meeting place for intensive exchanges between clients, candidates and Egon Zehnder consultants.” This is a prerequisite for continued growth, as “personal encounters play an increasingly important role in the relationship between our team and our clients,” says consultant Fabian Schrank, who is originally from Basel and now lives there. The teams in Zurich, Geneva and Basel will work closely together to continue the success of Egon Zehnder Switzerland.
