Several media like NPR, The Guardian or in France, newspapers Liberation or West France very recently announced their arrival on the platform competing with X. Some have even simply stopped posting on Elon Musk's platform.
A lasting or temporary exodus?
However, you have to know how to keep reason: X remains the dominant microblobbing social network on the market with nearly 415 million active users around the world. Threads, the Meta alternative, reaches 275 million monthly active users.
Bluesky shows an admittedly meteoric rise day after day this last week, to exceed 20 million users. However, the gap remains massive with its competitors; it is now a question of knowing whether this is a lasting trend or a simple passing impulse as we have seen so much in the past.
Users could, however, be tempted to look elsewhere, the discourse currently seems to be shared by a good number of users and public figures on X in recent days.
