The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that starting January 6, at 12:01 a.m. local time, 35 border ports of entry will change their hours of service to “enhance Canada’s security and the United States.

There will be schedule changes, seven days a week, at 12 ports of entry in Manitoba, 10 in Quebec, 6 in Saskatchewan, 4 in New Brunswick, 2 in British Columbia and 1 in Alberta.

The timetables of all crossing points in the country are accessible on the website of theASFC.

These changes also concern the passage of commercial vehicles.

These new timetables were developed in collaboration with the United States.

The United States will also modify its crossing schedules so that the two countries can coordinate operating hours to allow the return of inadmissible travelers and goods to the other country, the press release from the United States said.ASFC.

The change in schedules will result in more resources for border agents to help process travelers at the busiest ports of entry.

Rebecca Purdy, senior spokesperson for theASFCsaid no changes to the Canada-U.S. border have been made following the recent election of Donald Trump as president.

Analysis and planning for this service adjustment took place over several months and is not related to the US electionswrote Ms. Purdy.
