It’s a fundamental movement. Subletting has been grabbing land for years. This not only affects the residential segment, but also extends to office space. In view of the vote on November 24, the real estate research firm Wüest Partner looked into the subject, because official data is largely lacking.
In its analysis published last Friday, the company based itself on advertisements on the main portals, but without taking into account those on Airbnb or publications on social networks. “Our figures show a clear evolution,” underlines Corinne Dubois, economist at Wüest Partner. Over the past ten years, we have observed an upward trend in the number of sublet housing units.”
