As reported by France Info, an individual spilled an orange liquid on the ground before going to one of the platforms, in the direction of Caen. 32 people then fell ill, 10 of whom were in relative emergency, but none were hospitalized. Without the station being evacuated, the firefighters applied the NRBC protocol, which makes it possible to secure victims exposed to nuclear, radiological, biochemical or chemical risks.

The man, spotted by surveillance cameras, was dressed in a blue down jacket and carrying a suitcase. He was arrested on his arrival at Caen station. According to the first elements of the investigation, the mysterious orange liquid could be that of a tear gas pepper bomb.
