A famous real estate developer was arrested Thursday by the border police at Casablanca’s Mohammed V international airport. Being the subject of no less than 120 complaints in Marrakech, the accused was placed at the disposal of the judicial police of the ocher city.
“The suspect was immediately placed at the disposal of the Marrakech judicial police where no fewer than 120 complaints were filed against him by people who had acquired apartments in the “El Ghali” real estate project in the ocher city,” reports Assabah.
According to the daily, the real estate developer did not respect delivery deadlines for certain apartments, causing financial, psychological and social harm to some 600 buyers.

Since 2017 that this real estate project was launched, the defendant will have delivered only one tranche, constantly postponing the delivery of the remaining apartments, informs the same source, specifying that the real estate developer has also sold an apartment to several buyers.
His arrest comes a week after the outcry caused in Parliament by a question addressed to Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri. the Minister of National Planning, Town Planning, Housing and Urban Policy.
