Emerald welcomes Advanzia Bank to Munsbach

The Emerald building was designed by the Architecture and Environment office for Andando Real Estate, a group that focuses primarily on real estate investments and renewable energy. This new building therefore fully complies with Andando’s guideline and was built using sustainable construction methods and aimed to be neutral from a carbon point of view.

The building, with a surface area of 8,757m2, is located in the Syrdall business park in Munsbach. It is made up of four underground levels which house the parking lots, and four above-ground levels whose structure is made of wood-concrete. This constructive system makes it possible to maximize the well-being of the occupants, the energy and environmental quality of the envelope, without forgetting the speed of execution.

The flat roofs are occupied respectively by a large photovoltaic installation and by a terrace accessible by users of the building.

Emerald is the first building in the Benelux zone to receive the “Zero Carbon” certificate issued by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). Currently, the building is pre-certified and the final certificate will be issued following a new audit, one year after the building is commissioned, because the certification applies to construction and operation.

The building is also BREEAM Excellent certified (it ranks second of the 94 BREEAM classified buildings in Luxembourg), DGNB Gold and WELL Platinum pre-certified (final certification is expected by the end of the year 2024).

The building is now rented by Advanzia Bank which has made it its headquarters in Luxembourg. The inauguration of the premises was celebrated on June 6. The choice of this building is part of an ongoing approach by the bank in favor of social and ecological initiatives that respond to its ESG strategy.
