The end of 2024 is approaching and, with it, some (good) things will disappear. This is the case with the current energy check allocation system.

This aid, until now paid automatically to the poorest households to help them pay their energy bills (electricity, gas, wood or oil heating, etc.), is evolving. From 2025, you will have to apply and new eligibility criteria will enter.

Didn't receive it in 2024? You have until December 31 to apply for it and, perhaps, benefit from it for the last time.

A catch-up campaign until December 31, 2024

In this month of November, is gradually moving towards winter with the mercury starting to fall (except in the south of France). Having turned your heating back on makes you think about the bills… but also the energy check.

For 2024, a first wave of automatic check sending was carried out from April to May for households that were eligible in 2023 (based on the 2021 income tax notice).

If the automatic sending campaign has ended, it is always possible to receive it outside the nailsas indicated by the Ministry of the Economy. This catch-up period began on July 4 and ends on December 31, 2024.

How to request it?

To request it, you must go to this government portal. The online process will not take you only 10 or 15 minutes.

You will be asked for several pieces of information and documents: mobile phone number, tax notice on 2022 income declared in 2023, an identity document in digital format, an invoice or certificate of energy contract less than three months old.

Just let yourself be guided through the steps and that's it.
