Town of Morges – Morges Region Tourism Reception at the Town Hall

The City of Morges and Morges Région Tourisme are developing a new partnership by installing the Maison du Tourisme within the Town Hall, from the fall of 2025. This project aims to enrich the services offered to the population and visitors of the region, as well as to promote the municipal built heritage.

The redevelopment of the Town Hall premises will allow Morges Région Tourisme (MRT) to reposition itself in the center of the town’s pedestrian zone, close to the shops. This new framework strengthens the tourist presence in the heart of Morges, thus facilitating access to a broader range of services for the population of the region and tourists. By establishing itself in this emblematic location, Morges Région Tourisme will consolidate its role as a tourism promoter while offering greater visibility to the cultural and natural riches of the district.

Development of services for the population

This project does not only benefit tourists: the Morgian population will be able to benefit from extended hours and an expansion of the services currently offered by MRT. These new offers are part of a desire to make City Hall more accessible, adapting to the growing needs of the community. Thus, MRT will ensure throughout the week – including weekends in the summer season – the sale of CFF and CGN day passes, as well as the ticket office for the Théâtre de Beausobre. The City will continue to welcome the population on the second floor of City Hall, at the Municipal Registry, for all other procedures.

This new exceptional showcase will also make it possible to promote the tourist assets of the district’s municipalities and the other MRT services already in place. We can mention, for example, treasure hunts in the region as well as activities such as guided tours and tastings.

Works and moves in fall 2025

The Municipality and MRT are pleased with their collaboration and the dynamism that this project will bring to the city center. The opening is scheduled for fall 2025.
