Established since 2021 in the Bressoux district of Liège, the PULP microbrewery produces its craft beers developed with a strong local identity. Today, it is considering a major expansion with a move to the Saint-Léonard district. In addition to increasing its production capacity, the team wants to transform a 1,000 m² hangar into a brewing, cultural and social center.
To carry out this project, the brewery is adopting a cooperative model and is launching an appeal to raise €400,000. More than 155 cooperators have already raised €120,000. These funds will be used to finance the renovation of the hangar, the installation of suitable brewing equipment, and the creation of long-term jobs to support PULP’s activities. The objective is also “to integrate residents into the project and develop local jobs, while promoting values of sharing and sustainability“.
The work will begin in November 2024, and the opening is planned for the end of 2025. The Walloon Region has also granted a subsidy of €75,000 to this project.
PULP is organizing a festive aperitif in the future Saint-Léonard brasserie this Saturday, November 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to present the project.
