The Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) issued a red card to a Rhône company that sold so-called natural hair coloring.
The company Les Trois Chênes, located in Villechenève, near Lyon, was sanctioned withan administrative fine of €15,000 for not having complied in full, and within the allotted time, with an administrative injunction to cease a deceptive commercial practice.
So-called “natural” colorings
The company continued to present hair coloring as natural (Color and Care naturally), while the percentage of ingredients of natural origin did not meet the criteria allowing such qualification.
It also continued the marketing of a cosmetic product (Myocalm spray massage), making claims misleading the consumer about the action of this product on the muscles.
