Global asset manager Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) announced on Monday that it was strengthening its global bank relations team, with the arrival of Marc Schumacher as head of global bank relations in Switzerland. He took office on October 1, 2024.
Marc Schumacher previously worked at Pimco (Switzerland), where he was responsible for the relationship with global banks, including international banks, cantonal banks, regional banks and Raiffeisen for German-speaking Switzerland for four years.
Previously, the new manager was sales director for Switzerland, including French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, at AllianceBernstein. He was also sales director at JP Morgan Asset Management (Switzerland), where he was responsible for cantonal banks, regional banks and Raiffeisen.
Marc Schumacher holds a master’s degree in earth sciences from the University of Bern and a doctorate in environmental chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ). He also holds the CIIA charter. (‘AGEFI)
