Good news for French motorists, fuel prices, namely gasoline and diesel, are remaining at the lowest levels of the last two months. After the dizzying rise observed during the month of April, fuels have been on a downward trend for several weeks.
For this Sunday, June 2, diesel is displayed at the price of 1.728 euros per liter by the specialized site combustibles.org. Compared to the prices observed at the beginning of May, the drop is 1.70%. Thus, this fuel remains at the lowest level for the year 2024. A real relief for motorists driving on diesel.
For its part, SP98 is, for its part, displayed at the price of 1.948 euros per liter by the fuels.org site. Here too, the decline is almost 2.45% compared to the prices recorded at the beginning of May. To find such levels, we have to go back to the month of March. However, the prices observed this Sunday are still higher than those recorded at the start of the year.
Regarding SP95 and E10, the prices displayed this Sunday by carbudant.org are respectively 1.868 euros and 1.855 euros per liter, which represents a drop of more than 3% compared to the prices displayed by the same Source at the beginning of May. Finally, E85 is, for its part, sold at a price of 0.900 euros per liter.
After having increased sharply during the month of April, fuel prices continue to fall. For good reason, black gold prices have also stabilized at attractive levels after having increased significantly during the month of April. Fluctuations which are not without consequences on fuel prices in France.
This Sunday, June 2, a barrel of Brent from the North Sea sold at $81.37. We have to go back to February to find such low levels. As for the barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI), it remains well below the threshold of 80 dollars reached in mid-April. It is thus sold at 77.18 dollars per barrel.
The French stations which offer the cheapest fuels
In addition to average prices, the fuel.org site also gives in real time the stations which offer the best prices for different fuels. For example, it is the Carrefour Market – Tours station (37000) which offers the best price for SP98 this Sunday morning, with 1.870 euros per liter.
Still according to the same Source, the best price for diesel is offered by an independent station located in Maringues (63350), with 1.665 euros per liter.
