A new establishment opened its doors today in Notre-Dame-des-Pins, which duplicates a well-loved food product: honey.

First, as a new boutique Sophie’s Honey Housea local beekeeping company that produces real, pure, unpasteurized honey that is respectful of bees and the environment, and also offers processed hive products.

The owner, Sophie Roy, explains that she was thus able to free up the basement of her residence, where she sold her honey production which comes from her some 700 hives in Notre-Dame-des-Pins. The store being larger, the lady, who has been in business in the field since 2018, will be able to offer an enriched range of products, such as gift packaging, in the honey theme.

Then, every Friday evening, starting November 1st, the place will be transformed into a small restaurant called La Ruche & Gourmandises. On the menu: refined gourmet tapas, perfectly combining the essence of honey with fresh seasonal produce. The place will also serve creative cocktails, as well as wines appropriate to the ambiance.

Noémie Richter and Jérémie Lessard, a young professional couple, will be the hosts of this extraordinary culinary experience. They want to explore this taste learning for the pleasure of offering regional foods.

Note that, for the winter period, the store will be open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and seven days a week in summer.

As for the restaurant, you will need to reserve a table in advance online. The first customers will be welcomed on Friday November 1st.

The Miellerie de Sophie boutique and the restaurant La Ruche & Gourmandises are located at 2530, route du Président-Kennedy, in Notre-Dame-des-Pins.
