New in the Canal+ application

After bringing together the largest streaming platforms (Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, Apple TV+ and soon Max) in the same offer, Canal+ intends to continue to make television easier to access.

With TV+, the group brings together all live and replay television in a single application, thus offering the multitude of channels offered in France a single entry point. You can watch more than 80 channels, including all those of TNT, digital channels (Groland, Clique TV) and thematic channels like RTL9, MTV, and Comédie+, via TV+.

This offer, offered for 2 euros per month without commitment, however, has “one more thing”: it also allows access to a selection of Canal+ content, such as the first seasons of series Black Baron And Tokyo Viceor the documentary Sports interior on Kylian Mbappé. All for more than “20,000 hours of content offered on demand”.

But that’s not all, because each month this selection will be expanded with event programs, starting with the latest show by Florence Foresti, Boys Boys Boysfollowed by “sporting events, series, exclusive CANAL+ documentaries, other shows and much more,” according to a press release from the Canal+ group.

Viewers will no longer need to juggle between several applications to watch television with the TV+ offer, which is therefore accessible via the Canal+ application (myCanal) and compatible with all connected screens, for a simultaneous user.

Canal+ competes with Molotov with TV+.

A not so new offer

With TV+, Canal+ is stepping into Molotov’s territory. The latter in fact already offer their subscribers access to TV channels via a single application.

In its free version, users can watch 40 channels as well as the Molotov Channels service on demand. And for 6.99 euros per month without commitment, more than 100 TV channels are available to subscribers, on 4 screens, as well as a recording functionality.

The TV+ formula being less expensive and offering the advantage of being able to discover certain content exclusive to Canal+, it remains to be seen how Molotov will respond to this new competition.

The TV+ offer is available now on the Canal+ store.
