L’Oréal Maroc celebrates its 80th anniversary in Casablanca

Market leader with its portfolio of 18 international brands, L’Oréal Maroc is driven by a clear mission: to create beauty that moves the world forward. The Moroccan subsidiary’s initiatives align with the L’Oréal Group’s commitments under the “L’Oréal for the Future” program, aimed at meeting climate challenges, preserving natural resources and building a more inclusive society.

With a global approach that aims to minimize environmental impact, promote diversity, inclusion and economic and social integration, L’Oréal Maroc is committed to the empowerment and inclusion of women. This action materialized with, in particular, the creation of women’s cooperatives in the Collective Gardens of Ourika, a project which highlights local know-how while promoting the financial independence of women. L’Oréal’s other flagship program takes the form of hairdressing training programs, aimed at promoting the financial and social independence of women. It is in this spirit that L’Oréal Maroc, in partnership with the OFPPT, has co-created a hairdressing sector, thus enriching the professional prospects of young Moroccans and contributing to their development. Supporting young people is also a priority for the brand which, through the global “L’Oréal For Youth” program, offers more numerous and diverse professional opportunities. In Morocco, this translates into concrete actions to improve the employability of young people, particularly through certification training, career workshops and job opportunities.

The brand’s commitment to community well-being is demonstrated through health initiatives, such as “Committed to You”, a program focused on treating side effects and supporting people with cancer . Meanwhile, the “Care For All” initiative aims to improve access to skin care for disadvantaged communities, demonstrating our commitment to the overall well-being of all Moroccans.

From world leader in beauty to undisputed pioneer of Beauty Tech, L’Oréal excels in ultra-personalization on a large scale, opening new opportunities to enrich and enhance the beauty experience. Technology, having transformed lifestyles and social interactions, has also revolutionized sectors such as health and beauty. Leveraging advanced science, data, generative AI and artificial intelligence, L’Oréal creates closer connections with its consumers, meeting previously unmet needs. Thanks to augmented products, smart devices, online platforms and a wide range of digital services, L’Oréal Beauty Tech serves the well-being of consumers to create beauty accessible to everyone.

Laila Benjelloun, General Director of L’Oréal Maroc, sums up the essence of these 8 decades: “Today represents a major milestone for our subsidiary which is celebrating its 80th anniversary in Morocco.
