The stock market opens higher

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading slightly higher on Friday, its main index, the MASI, gaining 0.03% to 13,481.87 points (pts).

The MASI.20, an index bringing together the 20 most liquid stocks, increased by 0.05% to 1,087 pts and the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating, as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, stood at 981.4 pts.

For its part, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, the thematic index which calculates the price performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, increased by 0.19% to 1,223.32 pts.

At individual values, the best performances were achieved by Minière Touissit (+7.01% to 1,359 DH), Ennakl (+6.15% to 34.5 DH), Alliances (+5.24% to 251 DH), Med Paper (+3.7% to 19.89 DH) and Résidences Dar Saada (+3.39% to 87.88 DH).

Conversely, Ib Maroc.com (-7.6% to 31.87 DH), Stroc Industrie (-6.96% to 32.07 DH), Salafin (-5.63% to 553 DH), Stokvis North Africa (-4.38% to 10.71 DH) and Eqdom (-2.92% to 1,163 DH) showed the biggest declines.

On Thursday, the MASI closed with a gain of 0.44%.
