The draft agreement for the creation of the new grouping of local authorities “Casablanca-Settat for the distribution of food products” was voted on Monday October 7 in the ordinary session of Casablanca-Settat regional council.
This agreement was signed between the wilaya of Casablanca-Settatthe province of Berrechidthe municipal council of Casablanca, the municipal council of Sahel Ouled H’riz and the municipal council of Had Soualem.
The capital of this group amounts to 2.4 million DHwith participation from:
- Had Soualem municipal council: 200.000 DH ;
- Sahel Ouled Hriz municipal council: 200.000 DH ;
- Casablanca municipal council: 1 MDH ;
- Casablanca-Settat regional council: 1 MDH.
“This is a first step in preparation for a major project,” said Abdellatif Maâzouzpresident of the regional council. “This is a group, whose capital amounts to 2.4 million dirhams, to prepare the establishment of the future agri-food platform, the creation agreement of which is already scheduled.”
“This platform will replace the Casablanca wholesale market. Its creation will require a budget estimated at 3 billion DH. It is therefore a first legal basis for a major project,” he concluded.
