Some 395 companies were created in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region at the end of last June, according to data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
These new companies are divided between legal entities (137) and individuals (258).

OMPIC specifies that the province of Guelmim took the lion’s share with a total of 220 new companies, followed by the province of Tan-Tan with 131 companies, then the province of Sidi Ifni with 44 companies, reports MAP .

By sector, commerce dominates with 51.95% of the total businesses created, followed by the services sector with 12.77%, construction activities and real estate with 12.55%, transport (7.97%) , industry (5.63%), hotels and restaurants (4.33%), agriculture and fishing (2.60%), information technology (1.52%) and financial activities (0. 87%).

Depending on the legal form, 65.7% of the companies created are limited liability companies with a single shareholder, followed by limited liability companies (32.8%), general partnerships (0.7%) and public limited companies ( 0.7%).

At the national level, the number of companies created during the first six months of this year reached 47,734 companies, divided between legal entities (34,503) and natural persons (13,231).

The Casablanca-Settat region comes first with a total of 14,796 companies created at the end of June 2024, followed by the regions of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (6,880), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (5,581), Marrakech-Safi (5,489 ), Fès-Meknes (3,363), Souss-Massa (3,220), Oriental (2,841), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1,969), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (1,410), Draâ-Tafilalet (1,060), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (730) and Guelmim – Oued Noun (395).
